T6 stealth photographer’s mobile office camper
Full T25 high top fit out
Kiran’s brand new T6 is destined to tour the world, but hopefully, not draw much attention. Kiran wanted a travelling photography office, but, whilst the interior needed to look like a beautiful office, the exterior needed to stay standard – no windows or pop top.
The interior was unique, governed by its use. No bed was required – just a fold-down platform to accommodate Kiran’s sleeping bag (with enough room underneath for the occasional fellow photographer’s sleeping bag).
One side of the van houses cupboards – we created a solid steel cabinets which houses the main photographic equipment, the lockable welded steel units were then clad in birch plywood. The fold down platform has CNC cut slots that provide a flexible hanging system and also provide a visual feature when the LED lighting in on behind them.
On the other side of the van, a second full height cupboard has a fold-down desk area to house a laptop to allow for image processing whilst on the move.
Off-grid power for camera charging and laptop was important, the van is fitted with a solar panel which chargers two leisure batteries. A 240v inverter was also fitted.
The cool box storage box doubles as a seat for use when the desk is in use.
